A 2011 First

At last, the fine peeps of TIHWE got together for a little kitchen takeover this past weekend! Yay us!

Firstly, we would like to thank my dear brother and sister-in-law for trusting us enough to let us invade their home and kitchen (we are truly sorry about the wall!). We would also like to thank our guests, K and KT for trusting us enough to let us feed them..hee!

It was a simple concept, we invade their home, cook dinner, while they sit back and relax. Actually, they were so relaxed, they went out and left us kids at home to do all the work! Sweeeet. The menu for the night was amazing Kong Bak by SIL, Meatballs by MB, Roast Duck & Roti by Rotiman, Beans & Things prepped by MB and cooked by Mad Chinaman, Chicken Stew & Chocolate Cupcakes by KK, and Stout Cake and Rum Balls by FG.

Sure, there were some hits and misses, but all in all, a great night! Thank you to all involved, and seey'all again soon!

wow really haven't blogged in a while, like phillie said, we haven't really had time to bake. the bug came back this month though, i have since 2 weeks ago made, stout cupcakes, twice, which were both rather disastrous. red velvet, last week, tried new way of icing my cakes and this week with the kitchen takeover, i will be making my now new favourite, chicken stew and i will be attempting billy reece's bill chocolate cupcakes. for now, these are what i have been making these past few months.

From Carburetor County to Radiator Springs...

Ok fine, rhyming is not my thang. Thankfully, cupcakes are!

It's that time of the year again! A very special little boy turns 3 and this year's theme is, you guessed it, Cars! And not just any car, Disney's Cars.

I was tasked to bake 100 (but I cheated and only baked 90) vanilla cupcakes for Dray's party and this is the final product. (Note: cupcake toppers came from Dray's mommy, Ann) Baking and frosting and sprinkling was done over 2 days cos I was doing it on my own this time and didn't wanna stress myself out..heheh

Walked past this cute little shop in Amsterdam and I just HAD to take a photo! Everything in that shop looked yummy, and judging by the size of that crowd, I would imagine they were really yummy too!

No I didn't try any cos the Q was just too long, but I kinda regret it now. Maybe next time eh? ;D

We're still here!

Wow, we really haven't said anything since Christmas now have we?

TSK is still very much alive, but alot has changed in 2011 and we haven't really baked much (except during CNY), thus the lack of updates!

There is talk of a TIHWE and TSK getogether soon so I guess we shall have updates then! Till then, thanks for sticking around (all 3 of you) and we promise we will be back!
